Backyard snowfall, a year ago

There are no snowfalls to photograph this winter, but a year ago, there was snow in abundance. This is my favourite spot in our backyard. Our children are long grown up, but this is where many, many memories were made.

In each life, some rain must fall – Henry Wadsworth Longfellow That is true, but enough already. Today we walked in the Rattray Marsh and it is a dull and dreary day. A year ago, we had a real winter. Cold, crisp days but with sunshine. And snow!

Although originally from the west, I am not a winter person. So, hubby has his work cut out for him when it comes to getting me outside and away from my books, my warm blanket and my tea. Last weekend, he hit the mark with Rattlesnake Point.
