A look at the books

“You know you’ve read a good book when you turn the last page and feel a little as if you have lost a good friend” – Paul Sweeney.

I love to read. A lot. You can go somewhere else through a good book – or your own life can be enriched by the knowledge acquired. I have read some really well written books in the last few years, although there are many more I wish I had made time for. The book which most impacted me, my favourite book, is The Diviners by Margaret Laurence. It was the first book I read as a teenager that really took me somewhere else. I was comforted to know that someone else, Morag, was complicated and didn’t always understand everything.
